He makes genre-bending music, blending EDM, trap, hyperpop and dance-pop music genres. 2hollis is signed to Interscope Records and is known for albums including “boy” and “star.
Personal Background & Family
Musical Roots: He comes from a very musical family. His father is John Herndon, a drummer in the band Tortoise (aka A Grape Dope). His mother, Kathryn Frazier, is founder of the PR firm Biz 3 and co-founder of the record label Owsla with Skrillex.
Upbringing: He moved to LA from Chicago at age 10, which shaped his eclectic, coastal sound.
Early Career & Breakthrough (2018–2023)
- Drippysoup & OSX: He began producing music in 2018 under the alias “Drippysoup” before rebranding to 2hollis in 2020. He briefly formed a medieval-trap collective called Open Swords of Ten (OSX).
- Initial Recognition: He first broke through to wider audiences with his 2022 album White Tiger.
- Gaming Soundtracks: His 2023 track “Poster Boy” from his album 2 was notably featured on the EA Sports FC 24 soundtrack.
